Confirmation

Lego Martin Luther

Confirmation is a two year discipleship process offered for youth Grade 7 and up.   Here we are not afraid to ask he hard questions that come up in our everyday lives.  Questions like:                                                    Who is God & what does God want from me?  What is the point of going to church?             What does it mean to have faith in our world today?                                                             Why is there evil/suffering in the world?               If I believe in Jesus, does that make me weird?  How do I love my neighbour as myself when I don’t even like him/her?                                 What would Jesus Tweet? (sharing the gospel)

To guide our discussions, we dig into the Bible, the Lutheran Confessional writings and the catechism to study the essentials of the Christian faith like The Ten Commandments, The Lord’s Prayer, the Apostles’ Creed, Forgiveness, Baptism, Communion, and Prayer.

Classes start mid-September and run through mid-May, on Sundays at 9:30 am. Currently we are using the re:form confirmation curriculum to focus our discussions.
