Faith in Jesus Christ leads us to serve others in response to the love, gifts, and
new life we have been given through Him.
As our mission statement reads: “We seek to care for the needs of others as Christ would, both locally and globally, in creative and generous ways.”
We believe that this leads us to help create healthy communities, not just healthy churches.
Locally, we are active in supporting:
- Yellowknife Food Bank & Food Rescue
- Transitional and Homeless Shelters such as Alison McAteer House, Bailey House and the Centre for Northern Families
- Taiga youth camps
- The Adopt a Street program
- Yellowknife Homelessness Coalition
- Kindness Explosion
- On Eagles Wings
Globally, we support:
- Canadian Lutheran World Relief
- Two Lutheran church communities in Tanzania
